Arnold Glazier, M.D.
Chief Science & Medical Officer
A founding member of General Oncology, Arny is responsible for General Oncology's research and development. He has 35+ years of experience in drug design and cancer research and has received patents on multiple anticancer inventions. Arny's research focuses on understanding and satisfying the requirements for the specific cure of cancer either without significant patient toxicity or with only reversible patient toxicity. He received his medical degree from Boston University’s 6-year Medical Program at age 22, trained in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Tufts Medical Center, and was an Oncology Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center. Prior to General Oncology, Arny was the founder of General Oncology’s predecessor companies Drug Innovation and Design, Inc., and OncoTx, LLC. His research led to his sister being the first BRCA+ pancreatic cancer patient to receive melphalan and stem cells, and the success of her treatment—she is now more than 12 years cancer-free—led to General Oncology.
